Want a bigger butt?

Booties that are curvy, toned, and well-shaped are back in fashion. I have always been petite and didn’t really pay much attention to my butt. It doesn’t feel so long ago that having a large butt was considered a bad thing and that having trouble fitting into jeans was an indicator of weight gain.

Now, it’s 2021 and everyone wants to flaunt their big booties. Although I don’t want thick thighs, my goal is to shape my butt. This in mind, I began researching various methods to shape the buttocks without going under the knife. Here are the results.

Butt lift doesn’t always mean surgery

One of my main concerns was that I would need to have surgery in order to get the body I desire. This was not true. There are many ways to build your bootie exactly the way you want, none of which requires surgery. Here are all your options, from non-surgical glute exercises to minimally invasive injectable enhancements.

Specific exercises for the Glute

Squats are the best way to build muscle at the gym, according to most people. Squats can help increase your glutes if done correctly. However, many people are skipping deadlifts and bulgarian split squats. These exercises target the glutes in that they support and lift the butt using the following muscles:

  • Gluteus medius
  • Gluteus maximus
  • The adductor muscles
  • Semitendinosus and biceps femoris (which make up your hamstrings).

Deadlifts require a hinging motion. They also require engagement of all core muscle groups as well as those listed above. This makes it a compound exercise that will help you in more than one way. It will increase the size of your butt, give it a lift and shape your legs.

Lunges, which are one of the easiest movements, require you to kneel with one knee on the ground and the other at a right angle. As you lift yourself up off the ground, keep your focus on your front heel.

Make sure your knee doesn’t touch the tips of your toes. Also, don’t put any weight on your toes. This will cause pressure on your knees.

Bulgarian split squats can be compared to lunges because they require you to kneel down. You will start standing with one foot on the ground and the other on an elevated surface (e.g., a box, chair, or swiss ball).

You will shift the weight onto your heel, then gently lower yourself to a kneeling position. Then push yourself back into the original position through your heel. You can keep your back leg elevated.

Bulgarian split squats are similar to deadlifts and lunges. They primarily target the muscles supporting your butt, so they’re a great choice for gym-goers.

Electromagnetic Muscle Stimulation (EMS)

There is an alternative to working out if you don’t like the idea of lifting weights. Electromagnetic muscle stimulation, also known as EMS or E-stim, is an alternative. It is non-invasive and takes only 30 minutes to lay on your back while the machine does the rest. Here’s how it works.

When muscles are trained and then contracted, they grow stronger and more powerful. You can do this by resistance training, or using EMS devices.

EMS treatments to strengthen your glutes or lift your butt include 2 – 4 electrodes that are placed on your cheeks while you lie down in a downward facing position. The machine will turn on and you’ll feel a strange sensation in your butt. This is because the EMS machine sends steady electrical pulses to your body. It signals your muscles to contract in that area.

Although it may sound uncomfortable, many people describe the treatment to be a strong tingling sensation or strong muscle contractions. You may feel sore after the treatment, as you would during a regular workout. It is best to have 4 to 6 sessions spread over the course of a week for the best results.

Injectable butt filler

There are several types of injectables you can use to increase your butt size. BBL is one of the most well-known injectable butt fillers. This involves taking your own fat from one area of your body and injecting it into your butt. The procedure requires liposuction in order to extract the fat.

Radiesse and Sculptra are the most common non-surgical butt fillers.

Radiesse, a ChHA gel matrix (Calcium Hydroxylapatite), is used in injectable cosmetic dermal fillers in many areas of the body. This includes the buttocks and face. Radiesse cannot be dissolved, so it is mainly used for butt enhancement.

Radiesse stimulates collagen production to increase volume. The ChHA particles are absorbed into the skin and immediately increase volume. As the gel breaks down, collagen and elastin are replaced by the gel. This results in an increase in volume.

This filler is biocompatible and has low risks of infection, making it an attractive option for volume enhancement. The results can last for up to 2 years.

Sculptra injectable dermal filler is made of poly-L-lactic Acid (PLLA). PLLA is a biodegradable aliphatic polymer that is easy to inject. The body’s natural collagen production is stimulated by PLLA. This can take anywhere from 1 to 2 months. According to reports from providers, sculptra can often require more than one session because everyone reacts differently to the treatment. For example, one person might only need 10 vials while another may need 50 vials to achieve their desired results. Each session (16 vials maximum) is spread out over a period of one month. Gradual improvement is observed over time.

Although Sculptra is also available in other parts of the body, it’s most often used in the buttocks.

They have some things in common:

  • Both are biocompatible
  • Both are powered by collagen.
  • Both can be injected
  • Side effects and risks: Redness, swelling, bruising and, in rare cases, the formation of lumps or granulomas.
  • Differences:
  • Radiesse results are visible immediately while Sculptra takes approximately 1 to 2 months to show.
  • Sculptra produces more volume over time
  • What to expect during treatment

You will need to be cleaned before the injections. In some cases, a local numbing drug may be used. To avoid excessive bruising, you will be lying face down during the injection. The compound will either be injected with a needle (or more commonly a cannula), which is a hollow tube that injects or removes fluid from the body. The procedure can take between 15 and 25 minutes depending on the amount of filler that you receive.

After you are done, you will receive a five-day massage routine.

After looking into my options, I was pleased to find that a buttlift doesn’t necessarily require me to undergo a surgery to achieve my goals. Keep in mind that each of the treatments mentioned above works differently for different people. This means that one treatment may work better for you and the other one might not. It all depends on what your body type is and the results you want. It is important to remember, however, that whatever you do to your body it should be done safely and educated.
